Microsoft Software Assurance Planning Services update, what does this mean for you?
Firstly, the new Planning Services are designed to help you build a customized deployment, or migration plan and are available as 1, 3, 5, 10 and 15 day engagements depending upon your qualifying SA Benefits. The new planning services are good news as they now include the below solutions:
Data centre management
Private/Public cloud
Data platform
Application lifecycle management
If you are planning deployment of Microsoft System Centre, Windows Server, Windows and SQL Azure Platform, SQL Server, and Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and Test Tools contact SBL for advice and guidance on how to access these Planning Services. In addition if you are an existing SA customer with qualifying licences on these products you will receive extra planning services days that can be used towards the new Planning Services.
Secondly Microsoft introduces new Office 365 migration guidance. If you are planning on premises, in the cloud or a hybrid environment, Planning Services can be used to support your deployment.
And finally, Microsoft retired their Business Value Planning Services (BVPS) on 14th August. If you currently have a BVPS in process please contact a member of SBL’s Microsoft team for information and advice on how to proceed.
