Cyber Security challenges and disrupts our conventional ideas about how things should be done. It compels us to view the areas of Information Technology, Information Assurance and Security from a fresh perspective.

SBL's 2011 Customer Event was an opportunity for all involved in this environment to come together in order to discuss and debate some of the central questions raised by the cyber phenomenon.

The nature of Internet-based threats has changed. Attackers have more sophisticated weapons at their disposal, and the nature of the attacks themselves has shifted. Hackers armed with Trojans, spyware programs, key grabbers, sniffers and other tools of Internet destruction seek out vulnerabilities, wreaking havoc not just for the thrill of destruction, but for the purpose of financial gain.

SBL Cyber Security Event will gave attendees the opportunity to gain invaluable insight into the prevention of online threats against their organisations. The value and vulnerability of information has never been higher, and the need to securely deliver services better, faster, more efficiently and at an ever greater scale. A critical objective of the event is to provide IA decision makers across government and industry, with a clear insight into the scale of threats they face as a result of emerging technologies and new ways of working.
