Managed Service
Barron McCann’s Data Destruction Service is an end-to-end managed service for dealing with end-of-life IT equipment in central government, law enforcement and military environments.
Barron McCann follow all relevant security standards in data destruction when carrying out the service allowing them to guarantee that your data is being securely destroyed and that you are in conformance with current Data Protection Act and WEEE legislation. Their advanced data destruction techniques not only destroy data but also render storage devices such as hard drives totally unusable.
On-site Service
Many government organisations find it difficult and time consuming to transfer end-of-life IT equipment to a subcontractor for disposal. For many, transferring old equipment that has been used to store protectively marked or sensitive data presents an unacceptable security risk.
Barron McCann's unique on-site service allows a trained and security cleared (SC) data destruction engineer to come to you. All secure data destruction is done on your site anywhere in the United Kingdom; using their portable, CESG approved degaussing equipment.
Their engineers will provide all requisite legislative paperwork and certificates such as a Certificate of Data Destruction for Data Protection Act compliance as well as a report that can be used with your asset tracking.
Once the data is securely erased they can remove the equipment to their recycling facility for processing. Barron McCann will then issue you with a certificate of recycling giving you compliance with the WEEE directive.
Off-Site Service
If their on-site service is not required or impractical, they offer an off-site service. The service is identical to their on-site service but their security cleared engineers will carry out all data destruction work on your equipment at their secure (List-X) facility.
Barron McCann can receive your equipment via standard delivery or they can arrange to collect it themselves. Once the destruction of your data has been completed they can, if required, arrange for the items to be recycled in line with current WEEE regulations.
