SBL have an unrivalled pedigree when it comes to supporting Government.  Not only has SBL been the Agent of Supply under the ICS Catalogue for many years, but we also support a number of Government advisory committees in order to align our solutions and develop the IA market according to Government IA and policy requirements of the future.

For example, SBL work closely with the following groups:

Workplace Optimisation Executive Forums - helping public sector to operate sustainable workplaces

Workplace Optimisation forums, hosted by SBL, will provide central & local government with a unique insight into how technology can help public sector organisations effect dramatic real estate cost savings leading to more energy efficient & sustainable workplaces.

Civil IA Product & Service Co-Operation Group (CIPCOG)

CIPCOG events are held at regular intervals throughout the year, and provide an opportunity for delegates to meet together and discuss their requirements, concerns and issues relating to Information Assurance and to help drive forward the processes of change needed.

 NIAF (National Information Assurance Forum)

The National Information Assurance Forum (NIAF) is an independent committee sponsored by the Central Sponsor for Information Assurance (CSIA) and is co-chaired by a Wider Public Sector representative and CSIA with an aim to identify, collate and discuss Information Assurance issues that affect the Wider Public Sector and, through working groups, produce recommendations and reports to assits Government departments, agencies, and the Wider Public Sector to facilitate the National Information Assurance Strategy.

CESG - The National Technical Authority

CESG is the Information Assurance (IA) arm of GCHQ, based in Cheltenham, UK. CESG is the UK Government’s National Technical Authority for IA, responsible for enabling secure and trusted knowledge sharing to help its customers achieve their business aims.

SBL work very closely with CESG in a number of different capacities.  Principally SBL are closely aligned with CESG in providing security products that only carry the appropriate Approvals into our Government clients, with the appropriate guidance to qualify a range of requirements.  CESG also works alongside SBL as members of CIPCOG to deliver advice and guidance upon shaping future security strategies that affect stakeholders throughout UK Government.
